Visitors to People Plus are likely to encounter a bustling, alive organization, often with every available bit of space occupied.  On a recent Wednesday, things started off with a Men’s Breakfast at 8:00 a.m.  At the same time, cribbage players began arriving at the center, and helping themselves to coffee while awaiting the rest of the players. 

The participants in the Men’s Breakfast were leaving the hall as members of “Twrinkle Toes” – the center’s line dancing group – were arriving.  Meanwhile, in the other building, members of the People Plus Writer’s Group were assembling in the parlor, while seven beginning computer students began one of their weekly lessons.  Later in the day, Pinochle players descended upon the center,  a committee of the Board of Trustees met, and our Outreach Coordinator met with volunteers interested in becoming “friendly visitors” to lonely, isolated older people.
